eMAR Updates - February 2026

These releases introduce new features and address bugs

Release Notes

Data API Update (v2.1.0) – 4th February

This release introduces a 2-hourly refresh (updating the last 3 days of data), with the overnight run still refreshing the last 30 days.

  • Time handling: Task datetimes are now returned in UTC (per spec), and “current day” queries now align with UTC partitioning to prevent missed records.
  • Medication & PRN data: Added missing fields (IsLongTerm, RouteOfAdministration), fixed PRN protocol pipeline primary key issues (ensuring the latest record per MedicationId), and resolved ADF pipeline gaps where some drug fields were not being copied.
  • Service users: Added support for Careplanning-synced service user data, and updated absence handling to match MAR Reports (contiguous absences are now treated as a single absence).

eMAR Portal Update (v5.5.8.1) – 18th February

This release improves medication clash detection rules

  • Medication Clash Detection Expanded: The clinically-risky ingredient clash list now includes Codeine in addition to Paracetamol. This means combinations such as Co-codamol with Paracetamol will now trigger a warning. The list currently covers 2 ingredients, with ~80 more planned in an upcoming release. Clashes appear on both check-in screens; however, the legacy screen only detects clashes for dispensed medications, while the new screen detects both dispensed and ad-hoc medications.

eMAR Portal Update (v5.6.0) – Planned Scope w/c 23rd Feb 2026

This release improves reporting clarity, medication setup safety, ordering flexibility and check-in stability.

  • Notes free text field in PRN Protocols: There is a new free text field added. This box will be expanded in the next release.
  • New Check-in screen stability: Multiple edge-case fixes improve reliability when booking medications into the system.
  • Missed medication automated email accuracy: Missed follow-ups are no longer counted as missed medications in email recap summaries.
  • Nourish Profile photo consistency: Resident photos from Nourish now display correctly across portal pages.
  • Other: Additional bug fixes and usability improvements.
